South Indian Special Neer Dosa with Coconut Chutney.

Neer Dosa( Water Dosa) is basically South Indian cuisine, is made out of rice and is served with coconut chutney, grated coconut  with jaggery, it will also go well with Chicken curry and Fish curry.


Neer Dosa Ingredients:

Dosa Rice:  2 cups

Hot Water: 4 cups, To soak the rice

Cold water:3 cups, to grind and for the batter

Salt: As needed

Coconut Oil: For Greasing.


Preparation:





Wash the rice , pour hot water in a bowl and transfer the washed rice, stir for 2 to 3mins close the lid and keep aside for 30 mins.

After 30 mins drain the water,transfer the rice to mixer jar and pour 1.5 cup of water and grind in to very fine batter. Water can be added more if the batter is thick. Please refer video for the batter consistency.

Now add remaining water and make thick milk consistency, put salt as you needed. Please refer video for correct consistency.


Now Heat the heavy bottom tava and grease with coconut oil. Refer video.



After greasing the tava, pour the batter and prepare dosa, close the lid and let it cook for 2 to 3 minutes.



Once it is done, take one plate and put Dosa upside down, let it cool for 1 to 2 mins, then fold the Dosa in triangle shape.
 



Serve the Dosa with coconut chutney and grated coconut with jaggery.




Coconut Chutney Recipe

Ingredients:

Serves 2 People


Grated Coconut: 1cup

Garlic Cloves: 3

Green Chilli: 3 ( as you needed)

Coriander Leaves: 3 to 4 stems

Salt: As you needed

Water: To grind




Preparation: 

Put the mixture in a mixer jar, blend in to fine paste and serve with Neer Dosa.




Grated Coconut And Jaggery Mixture


Ingredients:

Serves 2 People


Grated Coconut: 1 Cup

Jaggery: As you needed

Elaichi/Cardamom Powder: 1/4 tea spoon


Preparation:

Mix Grated Coconut, Jaggery,Elaichi powder and serve with Neer Dosa.
